A good creamware porter mug c.1800, possibly North Hylton pottery, decorated with an extremely fine print of figures and ships beneath the cast iron bridge over the River Wear at Sunderland, titled beneath the print, 14.5cm high.
The print is discussed in a letter from the director of Sunderland Museum, dated 1968, which claims to know of only one other similar example, and that uncoloured and from the North Hylton Pottery.
