A delftware wet drug jar, with flanged spout, inscribed S:PÆON:C within a cartouche of cherubs holding flowers, 1st quarter 18th century, restoration to the handle, 20cm.
Syrup of peony was thought to have many uses, including treatments of blood disorders and use and pain relief.
