A rare Worcester blue and white teabowl and saucer c.1755, painted with the Bamboo Root pattern, the tall bamboo spikes issuing from gnarled roots beside a large spray of flowering peony, workman's marks, 11.8cm. (2)
This rare pattern is a direct copy of one produced on Chinese porcelain of the Kangxi period (1662-1722).
