A massive Delft bowl of exceptional size late 17th/early 18th century

A massive Delft bowl of exceptional size late 17th/early 18th century, painted in blue with birds in flight and perched among flowering branches of peony, chrysanthemum and other Oriental plants, further long-tailed birds to the interior beneath a band of scroll and leaf motifs, some restoration, 40cm dia.

A similar example of smaller dimensions can be seen in 'The Smoking Room' in the Dennis Severs House Museum, Spitalfields.
