A Staffordshire slipware owl jar and cover c.1690-1710, the body combed with cream, orange and brown slip, the wings, tail and handle with trailed decoration, raised on a circular base with applied claws gripping a circular socle, the cover formed as its head with brown eyes in wide cream slip surroundings, the cover broken and restuck with a small section lacking, 23.8cm. (2)
