A Meissen tureen cover c.1740, painted in an extended Kakiemon palette with the Korean Lion pattern, a mythical lion dog beneath a phoenix in flight, flanked by flowering branches, with a later gilt metal finial, and a large Meissen dish, with similar decoration in the Schmetterling pattern with a large central butterfly, damaged and repaired, 30.3cm max.
