A rare Longton Hall sauceboat c.1755, the generous shell-moulded shape inspired from silver examples, painted in a bold polychrome palette with a long-tailed bird perched on holey rockwork beside flowering branches, the reverse and interior with bright peony sprays, damages, 21.7cm.
