A Kent or Sussex pottery jug 16th century, the large form decorated to the upper part with a rich brown glaze, and a two-handled cooking pot, glazed to the interior, small damages, 30cm max. (2)

The jug was discovered in a chimney in a Kent cottage and is believed to have been used as a Witch Bottle, placed to protect against black magic and evil forces.
