A pair of Chelsea figures of a Nun and a Monk, c.1755, each seated on a studded box and wearing a dark red robe, the nun reading from a book with the inside pages inscribed 'OMNIA VANITAS', the monk's book inscribed 'VANITAS VANISTATUM', raised on pad bases applied with flowers and leaves, red anchor marks, some restoration to hands, 13.2cm.
