A large Russian porcelain figure of a Chinese man, Imperial Porcelain Factory, dated 1914, from the Peoples of Russia series modelled by Pavel Kamensky, with a white cloth bag slung over one shoulder, a long plait of hair falling down his back, dressed in traditional Chinese clothing, printed mark, 39cm.

Provenance: a private English collection; acquired in Latvia during the 1920s and thence by familial descent.
