A Russian porcelain figure of a Chukchee man, Imperial Porcelain factory, c.1912-15, from the Peoples of Russia series modelled by Pavel Kamensky, wearing a fur-lined cowhide coat in traditional Chukchee style, incised signature to the base, 20cm.
Provenance: a private English collection. Acquired in Latvia during the 1920s and thence by familial descent.
