A dated slipware jug
A dated slipware jug, the sgraffito decoration in a greenish-yellow glaze, bearing the inscription 'Drink of me and merry be. The roses red, the grass is green, the daisies are finest .... have seen' and the date '1833', glaze chips, 14.5cm.
