A massive Spanish (Talavera) maiolica bowl

A massive Spanish (Talavera) maiolica bowl, painted with a figure on horseback fighting a large bull beneath the inscription 'Ivan Diaz BBAB', the exterior with three horses and a stag, all in shades of blue, green, ochre, yellow and manganese, c.1700, broken and repaired, 43cm. Bowls of this type are included in the collection of the Allen Gallery in Alton, Hampshire.
