This pot was discovered in 2021 during a construction project near the River Thames in London.
In Houghton, R.J. And Priestley, M.R. (2005) Historical Guide to Delftware and Victorian Ointment Pots, Delescot is described as 'an apothecary based at 19 Duke Street, Pall Mall, London’ (now Waterloo Place and Lower Regent Street). The delftware pots used by Delescot are described as being 'very rare', while 'several glaze variations are known ranging from a greenish-blue glaze to almost white with blue lettering'.
