A rare and large John Pennington (Liverpool) blue and white mug c.1779

A rare and large John Pennington (Liverpool) blue and white mug c.1779, printed with an elaborate scrolling cartouche, the top corners with birds perched atop, the bottom left corner with a ship mast behind boxes, the right with ducks swimming before a tower, the centre containing the monogrammed initials JMB, either side of the cartouche decorated with a lion rampant, a long restored crack, 21.3cm high.
