A massive Pennington (Liverpool) blue and white mug c.1765-70, of exceptional size, the cylindrical form painted with a large flower spray including narcissi, heartsease, convolvulus and chrysanthemum, with scattered butterflies and flying insects, the rim with a formal scroll border, the strap handle with a foliate terminal, 27.4cm high.
