A large Meissen style tankard probably 19th century, painted in purple monochrome with a continuous scene of merchants and other figures in a busy harbour, the neck and foot with formal gilt foliate designs, with gilt metal mounts and a hinged lid with a floral finial, blue crossed swords mark, a little good restoration, 22cm.
