A small Castelli maiolica plate c.1730, painted in the workshop of Antonio Grue with a young woman standing beside a square pillar and resting her basket atop it, one hand on her hip as she converses with another lady seated on a grassy tussock, within a border of putti and face masks among flowers on a pale yellow ground, 17cm.
