An English porcelain rectangular plaque mid 19th century
An English porcelain rectangular plaque mid 19th century, attributed to John Wager Brameld at Rockingham, painted with a scene from Cervantes' novel, with Don Quixote and Sancho Panza on horseback between trees, in a gilt wood frame, broken and restuck, the plaque 33.5cm high.
The same scene is used on Rockingham's Don Quixote service, and similar scenes are depicted on the Rhinoceros Vase at Rotherham Museum.
