A rare Worcester blue and white saucer dish c.1765-70
A rare Worcester blue and white saucer dish c.1765-70, painted with the Candle Fence Pavilion pattern, a two-storeyed building beneath a tall willow tree and beside an ornamental fence, open crescent mark, 18.3cm.
Provenance: the John Pinnick Collection.
Most examples of this pattern have been clobbered with polychrome enamels, and survivals in the original palette are rare.
