A good Limehouse pickle dish, moulded in the form of a scallop shell and painted in blue with a house on an island surrounded by three Chinese scroll motifs and a shell flanked by two leaves, the reverse with two flower stems, c.1746-48, 11cm. Cf. Limehouse ware Revealed,No.107 for a dish with a similar design.
