A Meissen biscuit porcelain figure of The Bowls Player c.1900
A Meissen biscuit porcelain figure of The Bowls Player c.1900, modelled by Walther Schott, stooped in concentration and with a ball poised in her extended right hand, raised on a circular base, impressed crossed swords in triangle mark, incised Q180, some restoration to her right hand, 30cm.
Following the acclaim given to Walther Schott's bronze of The Bowls Player at the 1897 Dresden Art Exhibition, Meissen bought the rights to produce the figure in porcelain.
