£150

A small collection of Chinese blue and white export porcelain 18th century, decorated with dense scenes of Chinese pagoda landscapes within Fitzhugh and cell diaper borders, including a teapot stand, a small plate, two cups, a teabowl and a custard cup, three pieces with traces of European gilding, 17.6cm max. (6)

Patterns of this type were widely copied at many English factories, especially when transfer printing began, and elements of these landscapes are widely recognisable in today's Willow Wares.
