A Liverpool delftware tile c.1750-70, decorated in polychrome enamels with a Chinese figure holding a cooking pot, reserved within a diaper cell border with chrysanthemum corner mons in blue, 12.5cm.

Cf. Anthony Ray, English Delftware Tiles, p.231, no.571 for a similar tile. A fireplace lined with these tiles can be seen at Aston Hall in Birmingham.
