A pearlware 'capuchine pigeon' tureen and cover late 18th/early 19th century, after Derby, seated on a straw-like nest, its plumage picked out in a purplish grey, a little restoration, 17cm across. (2)
Derby produced similar tureens of this old fancy breed from the 1760s.
