A rare Longton Hall armorial mug c.1758-60

A rare Longton Hall armorial mug c.1758-60, printed in black by John Sadler of Liverpool with the arms of the Stevenson of Balladoole family above a banner inscribed with the motto 'Omnia Vincit Assiduitas', 13cm.

This mug was probably made for Richard Ambrose Stevenson (1742-1773). The family were originally Irish (Fitzstephens) but can be traced back to the Isle of Man from the 14th century.
