A large Staffordshire slipware octagonal charger probably late 19th century, the buff body decorated in manganese on a cream slip ground with a mermaid with a long curled tail, above a small rectangular panel bearing an indistinct name, around the rim inscribed 'With a comb and a glass in her hand' within a decorative border, cracked, some glaze loss, 41cm.
