A pair of Meissen porcelain tureens and covers c.1780, the oval forms brightly painted with flowers, each cover surmounted with a putto spilling fruit and flowers from an upturned cornucopia, blue crossed swords and dot marks, one cover broken and riveted, 27cm across. Together with two later velvet stands. (6)
Provenance: The Old Rectory, Little Langford, Wiltshire. Sold by order of Trustees of the Estate of the late Miss S F Rooke.
