A large Derby model of Athena, her shield in her left hand, resting upon a stack of books atop of which sits an owl. Some damage and restoration. c.1765, 38.3cm. Cf. Peter Bradshaw, Derby Porcelain Figures, p.347 for a similar example in the Bearsted Collection at Upton House.
