A Royal Worcester Exhibition vase, date code for 1892, of shape 1554, decorated in the Aesthetic manner with sunflowers and flowering grasses in raised gilt on an ivory ground, the shoulders with mythical beast handles issuing from masks, printed marks including puce C mark, 27.7cm.

The C mark was used on items produced for display at the 1893 Chicago Exhibition. The factory's display in Chicago was remarkably comprehensive, covering nearly every aspect of manufacture and design.
