This diverse sale included a real mix of items from various private collections and estates. The sale started with over one hundred lots of oak and country furniture and works of art including a mid 17th turner's chair and twelve oak joined stools, the star was lot 28 a very large oak refectory table almost four metres long from the estate of the late Leslie Gooday OBE. Also from the Gooday estate was a pair of bronze cranes which measured over two metres high. We were delighted to be selling almost thirty lots from Rookley Manor in Hampshire, the highlight was the painted Edwardian wardrobe which originally came from Normanby Park in Lincolnshire. The sale also included some wonderful works of art including jewel like pictures by Thomas Compigné, a very fine early 19th century Italian bird feather picture and a rare pair of marble sculptures by Francesco Bertos.
