Illustrated in R. Butler, 'A Study Collection of Marked Domestic Brass and Other Base Metalware c.1600-c.1900', p.56, no. 124. William Lee is recorded as working in Castle Street, Birmingham, from 1759. He is listed as a candlestick maker and founder from 1767. He appears to have retired in 1780 and died 1800.
