An early 19th century South German specimen wood secretaire chest, chevron veneered with exotic timbers, the top drawer parquetry inlaid and fitted with pigeon holes and drawers around a cupboard and with a later gilt tooled leather writing surface, with later brasswork, 41½in (105.5cm) wide, 45½in (115.5cm) wide, 23½in (59.5cm) deep.
