A George III green japanned longcase clock by Thomas Watts of Hadleigh, the eight day brass movement with an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, with an arched twelve inch dial with a silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, signed 'Thos: Watts, HADLEIGH', with bird and urn spandrels, the arch painted with buildings and a cross, possibly originally with an automaton, the case decorated in gilt with chinoiserie with figures, buildings and birds, the sides with leaves and flowers, 207.2cm high.
