After the antique. A 19th century continental bronze ewer, with a lion handle the body with stiff leaf bands, portrait rondels and masks, the base stamped 'F', 12.5in (31.7cm) h, 7in (17.7cm) w. Provenance: Bought by the vendor's father from the eight day sale of the contents of Clyne Castle, Swansea, 1952. For similar ewers see the Renaissance prints by Enea Vico and Agostino Veneziano.
