A 19th century papier mache snuff box, of Stobwasser type, the cover painted three ladies admiring a portrait miniature, the reverse indistinctly inscribed, 4in (10cm) dia, another box painted a gentleman with a beard, a late 18th century French snuff box, with gilt mounts and tortoiseshell lining, a Regency curved tortoiseshell snuff box with gilt mount and initialled 'JHH', and a faux tortoiseshell, gilt brass and enamel plaque mounted box.
