A South African Zulu shaman's leather bag, containing a collection of amuletic objects, vegetable and animal substances known as 'the Witch Doctor's bag', c.1920, 11in (28cm) h. Provenance: Ex London private collection by descent from his South African father who was given the bag by Professor R. Turner of Cape Town.
