A rare pair of late George III burr yew card tables, inlaid with ebonised and boxwood stringing with stylised Greek key designs, the 'D' shaped hinged top with satinwood crossbanding, revealing a baize lined playing surface, on twin gate supports and on square tapering legs and applied ankles, 73.4cm high, 91.1cm wide, 43.6cm deep. Provenance: Purchased from Reindeer Antiques Ltd, 81 Kensington Church Street, London, 17th March 1999 for £40,000. A copy of the original receipt is available.
