λ An early 19th century Anglo-Ceylonese rosewood and brass mounted dresser, with an 'S' scroll frieze above three shelves, with pierced aprons, baluster turned supports and with leaf and sunburst mounts, the base with four panelled drawers and four conforming doors, with pierced scrolling hinges and escutcheons, on shaped bracket feet, 200.4cm high, 246.3cm wide, 61.3cm deep.
Provenance: Formerly in the collection of the McMichen family residing in Ceylon.
