A late Victorian Scottish preserved mixed group of thirteen birds of prey by William Macleay of Inverness, including: a pair of merlin, a peregrine falcon, a pair of kestrels, a sparrow hawk, a hen harrier a pair of buzzards and a rough legged buzzard, mounted in a naturalistic rocky setting, with a paper trade label inscribed 'PRESERVED BY W. A. MACLEAY, Bird Stuffer, 65 Church Street, INVERNESS 18..', in a glazed ebonised case, 105.8cm high, 94cm wide, 45.8cm deep.
