A pair of mahogany open armchairs in Sheraton style, the arched backs above leaf carved and beaded splats with moulded scroll arms to drop-in seats on floret headed square tapering moulded legs to spade feet, late 19th century. (2) The backs of these chairs are a copy of a design by Thomas Sheraton taken from The Cabinet-Maker and Upholsterer's Drawing Book, 1802.
