A pair of George III mahogany 'Hepplewhite' side chairs, each with an undulating top rail above a pierced splat with a carved tablet with husks and an oval patera, to a stuffed-over serpentine front seat on panelled square tapering legs to socket feet, together with a mahogany open armchair. (3)
Provenance: The pair of chairs bought from R. P. Way Antiques, 35 Gay Street, Bath, in 1941 for £12.14.
