A William IV miniature terrestrial globe by Newton & Son, the 3in globe made of twelve hand-coloured engraved gores, inscribed 'NEWTON'S New & Improved (TERRESTRIAL) GLOBE, Published by Newton & Son 66 Chancery Lane & 3 Fleet St. Temple Bar', the oceans with Cook's three voyages, South Africa labelled 'CAFRERIA', Alaska as 'Russian Territory' and New Zealand labelled in Maori, with iron axis pins and housed in a turned mahogany case with a domed lid, 10cm high.
