A Victorian patent seal, in a tooled leather box, the hinged lid centred with a gilt Royal Coat of Arms, containing a vellum letters patent, no:2994, awarded to John Fowler of 28 Cornhill and William Worby of Ipswich for 'the invention of and Improvement in Apparatus used when ploughing, tilling or cultivating land', valid for a period of 14 years, with a wax seal.
