the brass eight day drum movement with an outside countwheel, silk suspension and striking on a bell, the enamelled dial with black Roman numerals and inscribed 'a Paris', in a faux bois plinth with a winged blacksmith forming arrows on an anvil, the base with a panel of cherubs beside a beehive flanked by trophy appliques
