A George IV needlework sampler by Mary Simpson, worked in various colours, with Adam and Eve under the tree of life, flanked by flowers and two houses, one with a chapel, above boats, stags, lion and a unicorn, birds, two angels, flowers and a verse, inscribed 'Mary Simpson's 1828', 54.8 x 65.8cm, in a later glazed and moulded mahogany frame.
