An early 19th century rosewood and brassbound writing box

An early 19th century rosewood and brassbound writing box, the top and front with a circular sunken brass handle, the top centred a brass back engraved an S with a ducal crown, the leather lined interior with a lift out tray with remains of partitions, under a plain interior, 8.75in (22cm) h, 14.75in (37.5cm) d. The left side is slightly angled probably to fit under a carriage seat hense the hing handle to the front.
