A late 19th century French brass repeating carriage clock
A late 19th century French brass repeating carriage clock, the eight day movement with a lever escapement and striking on a gong, the backplate stamped 'PATENT SURETY POLLER' and 'G. L.', with a silvered dial with Roman numerals, in a chinoiserie pagoda case with bamboo columns, the dial surround decorated with mixed metals depicting a landscape scene with a Chinese figure and a house with flowers and leaves, the side panels in gilt bronze with figures hunting, the other with three figures kiting, 17.6cm high (handle down).
