After Christian Daniel Rauch (German 1777-1857). A bronzed patinated cast iron figure of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the poet standing on a plinth decorated with tragic and comic masks, flanking a personification of the River Ilm in Weimar, the left side with Iphigenia, the right side with Reineke, the fox, with musical instruments and the back with a scene of Faust and Mephistopheles, titled and dated '1828', second half 19th century, 17.8cm high.
