λ Two similar 19th century Austrian hippopotamus tooth powder horns, one carved with a stag hunt, the verso with scrolling acanthus leaves and with a coat of arms surmounted by a helm and a coronet, with a dog's head terminal and with stopper, the other also with a stag hunt, the verso with a titled portrait bust of Franz I, above a crown and a cartouche with three fleur-de-lis, with a boar's head terminal, 18.2cm long (max).
